Described by The New York Times as “reliably breathtaking” and Opera News as having a voice of “bewitching beauty and presence,” Icelandic soprano Dísella Lárusdóttir is quickly gaining international attention for being one of the most promising talents of her generation. Pianist Nína Margrét Grímsdóttir has given concerts in Europe, USA, Canada, Japan and China and released CDs on e.g. labels Naxos and BIS to great acclaim. Both are among Iceland’s most prominent artists.
This recital will take us on a journey across European song heritage throught the performance of songs by Debussy, Strauss, Rachmaninov and Manuel de Falla.
