Berglind Stefánsdóttir started her musical studies at Tónlistarskóli Skagafjarðar and later attended the Reykjavík College of Music where she studied with Bernharður Wilkinson and Hallfríður Ólafsdóttir. In 2004 she graduated with a teachers diploma. Berglind has taken private lessons and attended masterclasses with among others William Bennett, Dennis Bouriakov, Philipe Bernold, Julien Beaudiment, Toke Lund Christiansen and Celile Løken. Beside teaching at the Kópavogur Youth Concert Band and the Reykjanesbær Music School she is an active performer and has appeared in concerts with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, The Woodwind Octett Hnúkaþeyr and also played at the summer concerts in Gljúfrasteinn, Þingvallakirkja and Skálholt. Berglind is a member of the Icelandic Flute Choir which performs regularly, both in Iceland and abroad.
