Thomas Randal Higgerson started his musical training at an early age in USA. In 1975 he graduated with the license d'enseignement degree from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. Further undergraduate studies followed at the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and in 1992 he graduated with a DMA degree from the University of Illinois at UrbanaChampaign.
Mr. Higgerson was awarded the 1st price at the Artist Presentation competition in St.Louis, Missouri in 1985. He was active as an accompanist, choir director and organist in the States from 1983 to 1990. From 1991 he has been the accompanist for the Heimir Men ́s choir and also a teacher at the Skagafjörður Music School.
